Dolphins
The Dolphins wore their home jersey for the very first time on Sunday in their historic win over the Roosters at Suncorp Stadium.
Each jersey had match details recorded on the chest plate to mark the occasion.
The Dolphins have given the fans their chance to get a piece of history by auctioning the match worn jerseys signed by the player who wore the jersey. As expected Kafusi’s jersey has the most attention.
Titans New Sponsor
The Titans replaced sleeve sponsor Trigon X with Ringers Western on Away jersey for Round 1. It was a noticeable vinyl patch on each sleeve when they played at Leichardt on the weekend .
Titans Socks
Rumour has it the reason they wore white socks due to their normal socks not making the trip down.
Panthers release Indig design
The Panthers have released their Indigneous jersey for presale this week.
This Jersey has a number of features including male and female totems of the Darug Nation, the fruit bat and ring-tail possum as well two handprints representing gender equality and the role males and females play in Rugby League on and off the field. Two black cockatoo’s ‘Garmit’ overlook the land, three kangaroos ‘Badagarangs’ as well as a platypus and eastern long neck turtle ‘Kutuklung’ are depicted swimming in the Darug Nation river systems highlighting the vast array of fauna in the area. Track marks surround the river leading to the meeting place of BlueBet Stadium. The word ‘Warami’ meaning Welcome is on the back as well as aa black swan or ‘Mulgo’, which represents the Mulgoa clan.
Dragons Indigenous artist
Zoe Raymond’s artwork, ‘Stand Your Ground’, as the winner of the Dragons’ 2023 Indigenous Jersey Design competition as selected by the club’s Reconciliation Action Plan committee, staff, players and local Elders.
This design was selected ahead of 21 enties.
The brief was reflecton the story of the Biddea’gal and Dharawal Peoples battles against the colonists in the early 1800s, lead by supreme Aboriginal warrior Pemulwuy.
Broncos womens jerseys released
After a long wait for Broncos fans the womens jersey has been released this week byt Asics and will be available to purchase now.
Knights Sponsor
In New Zealand clubs are not allowed to promote gambling and as such the Knights had a different sponsor on their away kit for the Rd 1 encounter.
HNE Kids Health replaced Palmerbet for this one off game.
Referees
The Referee Kits for 2023 have a real retro feel with the familiar stripes on teh shoulder as seen through the 90s and 90s. They also have a Super league throwback with a black and white vertical stripe strip as well.
